It depends on the peptide and vial size. Each protocol above lists a recommended amount. Common ratios: 2 mL for 5 mg vials, 2 mL for 10 mg vials. More water = more dilute (easier to measure small doses); less water = more concentrated (smaller injections).
The basics: your peptide vials, bacteriostatic water (30 mL vial), insulin syringes (U-100, 29-31 gauge), alcohol prep pads, and a sharps container.
Most peptides are injected subcutaneously (under the skin) in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. The abdomen is preferred, consistent fat thickness and a large area for site rotation. Rotate sites at least 1 inch apart each injection.
1 mg = 1,000 mcg. Syringe units measure volume, not weight. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 100 units = 1 mL. The units you draw depend on your concentration.
No. Never reuse syringes. The needle dulls after a single use, increasing pain and infection risk. Use a fresh one every injection.
